However, my list of research website wouldn't be complete without the
aci.org's insightful analysis of exactly
how revolutionary the American Revolutionary War was when measured against
other such claims of revolution that took place in the world during other
periods of time.
According to my research, we can celebrate 250 years of our Republic's
founding with the knowledge that when measured against bloodier revolutions
like the French revolution, for instance, no heads were severed to achieve our
freedom from the British, but perhaps lots of tea was dumped into the Boston
harbor, which is what I remember from my high school civics course, as a
graphic example of what took place.
