The noun word "surprise"

From Google's AI, I was surprised to discover that the "noun word surprise" has many unusual definitions that are legal and historical in context,
For instance, the meaning of this word ranges from its everyday use, to so much more.
Even an unexpected military intervention, the Latin prehendere that is defined as: to seize(to seize), to a special culinary concoction, that is known as: a surprise cup, be assured that I have included dictionary websites on my research list that offer definitions which did verify many of Google's AI facts.
And I also discovered the 1828 dictionary that shows the year of the inclusion of this noun word "surprise," then informs, that "a dish with nothing in it is not in use."
However, I did add another dictionary website: www.oed.com, because of the notice: "ten meanings listed two of which are obsolete," which did confirm some other previously unconfirmed Google's AI facts.
Moreover, what I have tried to do is offer my readers a rounding out of the noun word "surprise" definitions.
It is my hope that this simple word will intrigue you, but as my lead sentence noted, and my final comment states, this noun word "surprise" is an unusual word, that can be used to illustrate an event within many contexts.
Nonetheless, as I write this November blogspot, there's no doubt in my mind, that my research proves the noun word "surprise" is yet another simple word that makes my monthly task of exploring the etymology of words plus meanings, so fascinating.
